Fab to finally get Woody’s head in front at Lingfield having been runner on his last two starts.  The meeting was transferred from the flooded Southwell track to the wrong side of London but the journey was worthwhile as Jimmy guided his willing partner to a snug victory and bagged our 40th winner of 2023!

“The favourite Musical Mystery was unruly in the stalls and subsequently withdrawn. TOUCHWOOD runner-up on his last two starts, quickened clear to record a first win since switching to Ruth Carr. This was his first win beyond 6f and, although versatile in terms of trip and back on a fair mark, this race wouldn’t have taken a great deal of winning.”
