Barleybrown made it third time lucky for us when winning under Jimmy at Newcastle.  Caught slightly tapped for toe, he looked booked for another placed effort but stuck to his task gamely to take the honours by a head.

BARLEYBROWN looked booked for a place again until staying on strongly to get up near the line. On this evidence he’s going to be worth a try over further.
