San Cassiano won his 12th race for us, his 13th in total, under Carol Bartley at Redcar.

“Good to soft ground, good in places, after a dry day in the build-up to racing. Potentially a more competitive event than many a lady amateur riders’ handicap, with most of these having shown their form of late. But they went only a steady pace and few got into it up front.  SAN CASSIANO got the ideal ride, always to the fore, and though he was high enough in the weights he was able to prevail. This consistent sort is just the sort for this type of contest.”
