Ellaal has now matched Victoire De Lyphar as top of our horses list numerically with 3 wins each in 2014.  Reunited with Paul Mulrennen his partner when successful at Beverley Ellaal was always handy and quickened up nicely to score by a neck and a head.

“Only a handful of these made much appeal going into the race, but the winner landed good support, coming out best in a three-way finish. ELLAAL needed a drop into Class 7 company to resume winning ways in December, but he’s steadily improved since then and gained his third win of the year in decisive fashion. He travelled well in behind the early pace and was still going well when hitting the front at the 2f pole. Although he didn’t settle things instantly, he had enough in reserve to hold the late challengers he’s due another small rise but should remain competitive.”
