Last year we won the £30k Crabbies sponsored 71/2f handicap with Al Muheer and we targeted the good prize again this time with Dubai Dynamo and Hadaj. Hadaj ran a creditable race to finish 5th but it was the old timer, Dubai, who took to honours.  We had a good draw in stall 2 and our 9yo held his early position better then he usually does and then got a lovely run up the inside under a fine ride from PJ McDonald.

“They seemed to go pretty quick here, but for all that the winner, who likes a strong pace to run at, came from midfield, the second and third were up there the whole way. DUBAI DYNAMO got the good gallop he enjoys and, with the field pretty well strung out, trouble in running didn’t come into it as he got a clear run through, finishing strongly up the rail. He’s likely to go to Ayr next Saturday now for a 1m handicap in which he was second last year.
