A fabulous morning was enjoyed by all yesterday at our annual Christmas Owners Morning. After a dreadful day on Saturday, the weather was just amazing on Sunday with the sun shining and temperatures quite endurable, assisted with plenty of hot beverages and mulled wine.
A new location was a surprise to everyone with the opening of the new "Top Yard", renovated through the Summer under Roger's skilled supervision. This was the original training yard in Grandad's day, and has increased the yard's capacity by another 17 stables, with a new wash/veterinary box and a huge under cover area.
The Sweepstake awards were a eagerly awaited, and with prizes going to 8 places a lot of people were hoping they were in with a chance. It was a fun morning with everyone enjoying looking round, delighting in the novelty of the trailor rides through the paddocks, taking photos and spotting their horses. We actually managed to consume 225 of Mum in laws, Sue's, homemade mince pies too!
Thank you to everyone who came, and to all helpers who worked so hard to make the morning such a success.
