Luckily the 6f handicap at Pontefract’s last meeting of the year divided as both Rhythm and Magical Effect arrived in good form.

Rhythm was unpenalised for her Newcastle apprentice race success and transferred her form back to the turf with no problems to win under Jo Mason.

Magical had been unlucky the last twice at Ponte and didn’t travel with any real enthusiam in the first part of the race but he made up for it in the straight and came from last to first to win well under Jason Hart.
