Jimmy gave Perfect a top ride to win as he liked at Catterick for owners “The Beer Stalkers”.  With the other possible front runner with drawn at the start Jimmy dictated a steady gallop, took 8 lengths out of them round the bend and won as he liked.  Let’s hope the handicapper doesn’t take the form literally!

The winner was allowed an easy lead and dominated throughout.  BE PERFECT won as he liked under an excellent front-running ride. A strapping individual, he made light of top weight and had the race in safe keeping with fully 2f remaining as his rivals were caught napping. He’ll find life more difficult in a truer run race off his revised mark.”
