Meshardal followed up his Catterick win by a neck at Thirsk under Jimmy on ground that had gone to good to soft on a rainy afternoon.

After a quiet year in 2016 it’s great to see Mesh bounce back to form this time.  He has now been in the prize money in 7 of his 8 runs so far this year!

“A fair sprint handicap.  MESHARDAL was raised only 2lb for winning at Catterick on his previous start, so still handily weighted on his best form, and he picked up well to follow up – this was a second C&D success. He did well to peg back the more forwardly ridden second and third and should have a fair chance of landing a hat-trick.”
