Great to get Magic’s head back in front under Jimmy at Pontefract.  Has been a long time between drinks for Magic but through no fault of his own, he kept bumping into one and finshed 2nd four times on the bounce last year.  He went up the handicap without winning as a result so deserved to to be back in the number one spot.

MAGICAL EFFECT ended a long, losing run which stretched back to August 2017 with a determined success. He was the only horse to come from off the pace so he deserves plenty of credit for this success. He seems equally effective over 7f and connections may be inclined to bring him out quite quickly while he is in such good heart.”
