The rain was heavy but Lexington Times came from last to first to win the 6f handicap under Jimmy in first time cheek pieces.
“Exposed sorts in this 6f handicap which was run at a strong gallop, few got involved and there didn’t appear to be any marked draw bias. LEXINGTON TIMES had the race run to suit him as he came home well off the strong gallop. The first-time cheekpieces worked the oracle as well and he acts well on easy ground but with his record of 2-39, he wouldn’t be an obvious candidate to follow up though he is clearly in good form.”
