WINNER! Lexington Place at Haydock – 11th June 2015

HaydockJune2015

Jimmy overcame traffic problems getting from Nottingham’s afternoon meeting to Haydock for evening racing and suffered similar trouble in running in the 5f handicap on Lexy but it ended well when the pair just got up on the line!

“This was hotly contested and rates as strong form for the grade. Three pulled clear and served up an excellent finish LEXINGTON PLACE ran on powerfully and added to last month’s Nottingham success. Keen and forced to be taken back off heels early on, he did well to recover and is the latest on a long line of older sprinters who have been re-ignited by a switch to the Ruth Carr yard. This was a career-best effort from him and there looks certain to be more to come. He’s being aimed at the David Chapman (trainer’s grandfather) memorial race at Ripon in August.”

Racing Post, 2015

“Lexington Place is an out-and-out sprinter and we’ve got my grandfather’s [David Chapman] memorial race at Ripon in August in mind for him.”
