It was great to get Kibaar's head back in front having dropped to a basement handicap mark. After a failed attempt with headgear we changed the way we rode him and at the third try it came good. Jimmy did well to sit tight leaving the gates as he was awkwardly away but was well on top at the finish where it mattered!
"The stands' side was again the place to be in this weak sprint handicap. KIBAAR belatedly resumed winning ways. It's taken time for his present trainer to find the key. However, he won off as high as 83 two seasons back and did have a cracking draw this time. The 6yo now has to prove he can back it up, but with a clearer passage he'd have bolted up and it's highly likely he's back up and running."
