WINNER! Good Friday three out of three with Sovereign Debt – 14th April 2017

I daren’t dream that after a double at Newcastle we could get the treble up at Lingfield in the AW Mile Championship with a total prizemoney of £150,000!

Sovereign Debt was given a great ride by Jimmy, settled in a nice position early and holding his own on the bend before chasing down the O’Meara trained leader and holding off the late challange of the Fahey trained second.

SOVEREIGN DEBT ARRIVAL“Ryan Moore dictated a pace to suit himself and the race developed into a test of speed in the straight.  SOVEREIGN DEBT, runner-up in this the previous two years when trained by David Nicholls, went one better this time, finding a better turn of foot than the favourite from a furlong out. His 7f pace probably came in handy given they’d gone pretty steady early.”

“I’m not sure how much of the credit I can take for training Sovereign Debt, but I got him here and got him right on the day.”
