A long time without a winner but Athmad came good at Wolverhampton under Luke Morris to score for the first time since his 2yo debut.  Hopefully this win will have given him confidence and he can go on from here.

“The leaders went off hard and the winner came from some way back in this handicap. ATHMAD arrived with a record of 0-17 since his 2yo debut win in August 2018 but he attracted support at biggish prices and produced a sustained run out wide to get back on the scoresheet. This set up well for him on his switch back to more patient tactics but the win didn’t come out of the blue because he finished runner-up a couple of times on turf in September. Things will be tougher off his revised mark but he was rated much higher at his best and his confidence should be boosted after this.”
