It was PlanB for Abushamah when the expected front runner missed the break at Beveley so Jimmy took the bull by the horns and dictated from the front. As the runner up loomed alongside Abush revealed he wasn't as "caff hearted" as his trainer had labelled him and battled on resolutely!
"A modest handicap in which the gallop was steady and those held up were at a disadvantage. The first two pulled clear in the last furlong. ABUSHAMAH 's rider ensured he had plenty in his favour and he showed a gritty attitude in the closing stages to fend off one that was having his first run beyond sprint distances. He had slipped to a good mark but his record suggests he wouldn't be certain to follow up."
