A brilliant double at Newcastle for Jimmy and all the team.

Exotic Guest was 4 pounds well in after finishing a close second at Ayr last week and duly went off favourite and won well under Jimmy.  He has been very consistent this last month and has given his owners 21st Century Racing and Alan and Margret Swinburne a lot of fun.

“The leaders went off far too quickly in this and a couple held up finished best, most notably the well-backed favourite.  EXOTIC GUEST, 4lb well in, was very strong in the betting and came home a comfortable winner. He’s in great heart but will find things tougher next time when up the weights.”

Advance won by a neck at Ayr on his previous start and also went off favourite.  Settled in the rear of the pack, he stayed on well for Jimmy when asked to give his owners Magfire Group their 4th win of the year!

“No great pace on early here, and the field ran in a pack for at least the first 5f. ADVANCE, down in distance after winning off a 2lb lower mark at Ayr, came fast and late an won a shade comfortably. He’s been in good heart pretty much all season and continues on the upgrade.”
