Another day another double! Tanawar set the ball rolling under promising 7lb claimer Nathan Evans in a hands and heels apprentice race at Nottingham. Tanawar was ridden by Gemma in the MacMillan Charity race at York and was the third horse to come out and win next time out after two of Tim Easterbys runners won at Beverley earlier in the week.
" A modest event for apprentices. TANAWAR, down to a career-low mark and fitted with a visor for the first time rather than the usual blinkers, got a nice position early tracking the two leaders and was always finding enough to hold off the favourite´s late finish. His previous wins have come off marks of 60 and 61 so he should have a little bit of room to play with once the handicapper has had his say."

Flash City went one better than when beaten in a photo at Ripon recently making all under Jimmy at Hamilton.
"This looked quite a competitive little 0-80 on paper but it was dominated from the front by FLASH CITY, who never really looked in any danger. Flash City went very close to winning a slightly lesser race at Ripon last week and although he´s got an ordinary strike-rate (4-50 now), he´s clearly able to make the most of an opportunity when it arises. He showed really good speed to lead these rivals and he had everything in trouble coming up the hill."
