Chappy went one better than his first start at Thirsk for us when winning at Hamilton under Jimmy.  It was an eventful race with a rival unseating at the start and doing the favourite no favours.

“CHAPLIN BAY, runner-up off 2lb lower on soft ground at Thirsk on his stable/seasonal debut, started slowly and was switched out wide from stall nine here but he produced a surging run to get off the mark in emphatic style at the 12th attempt. Things will be much tougher off a revised mark but his confidence should be boosted after this and he should take stopping if turned out under a penalty.”
