Covid-19 statement – 18th March 2020

Yesterday the British Horseracing Authority has confirmed that all horseracing in Britain will be suspended with effect from tomorrow up to the end of April, a decision which will be kept under constant review.  Please see the full statement HERE.

Steri7 imageMy initial reaction is that we should tick over the horses who have come back into work recently with the intention of running them as soon as we are able.  It seems like now is a good time to give the horses who have been busy on the AW over the winter a rest.  We will monitor this decision should the situation/advice change.

The National Trainers Federation have produced a document which brings togeather all the infomation and advice regarding Coronavirus and is available to everyone.  Please do give it a READ as it is updated very regularly.

In line with goverment advice Mowbray House is closed to visitors, hopefully the team can stay healthy with extra hygiene and cleaning procedures in place.

Difficult times ahead, the like of which most of us, myself included have not experienced.  This is a serious situation and we must all do our very best to comply with the Government’s recommendations.
