Ellaal won his third race of 2016 under Paul Mulrennen when holding off the sustained challange of Mark Johnston’s Surewecan when taking the mile handicap at Musselburgh.

“This moderate handicap was run at an average pace and produced a tight finish as a result.  ELLAAL bounced back to his best and landed a second success from his last three outings, both of them coming over this C&D. The 7yo is a tough sort to pass when on song and will still look fairly treated on old form after another rise.”
