A morning at the Yard – 18th June 2019

I was fortunate to catch dentist Chris and his assistant working their way through treating all the horses this morning. Its quite something to see – how some horses just accept the treatment without batting an eye lid and othes are quite terrified. A bit like adults really!

Emily and Nick were putting Foxtrot Knight through the stalls before heading off to Thirsk for a stalls test and as usual horses were busy working in the lunge ring, whilst staff were organising runners for Thirsk and Beverley.

I had hoped to find the horses without rugs, but this Summer is proving unpredictable and most days they are still turned out with them on. However it was good to see them turned out in the new “Pasture Field” where they were really appreciating the long new grass and a change of scenery.

I hope you enjoy the photos.
