Delighted to get off the dreaded cold list with a one two in the Gentleman Amatuer Riders Race at Hamilton.

Having spent many a time this season watching Tim Easterby horses in fine fettle I decided if “we can’t beat them join them” and booked Tim’s son William to ride Vallarta.

We also ran Cosmic Chatter who’s been waiting for the soft ground and then was withdrawn after being kicked at the start at Southwell recently.  Pat Millman made the long journey up from Devon to ride Cosmic having won on him at Carlisle last year.

Both horses like soft ground and looked to have a decent chance but it was Vallarta who came out on top with Cosmic finishing 2nd beaten 3 lengths.
