Streak was feeling well in the preliminaries and Charli did well to hold onto him and Jimmy get him to the start and out of the gates in one piece!  Everything went right in the race though and Jimmy got a charmed run from last to first to win by half a length.

STREAK LIGHTNING, a dual C&D winner now 8lb lower than when last successful, is not an easy ride by any means, but this time it all fell into place. Held up in a detached last after a poor start, he was gradually kidded into the race and this time he found what was required when asked to go and win. This was a superb ride from a jockey who knows him well, but whether things will pan out as well next time is anybody’s guess.”
