WINNER! Racquet wins at Ayr – 10th July 2017
Great to train a winner for the Reach For The Moon gang whose Realistic Games are sponsors of the yard. Racquet has dropped a stone in handicap since we bought him in October last year and hopefully this win will have increased his confidence and he can go on and win again.
“A modest sprint handicap with the return to a Class 6 enough for the winner to get off the mark for his new stable. RACQUET hadn’t won since taking a 2yo maiden in 2015 but had been steadily slipping in the handicap for Ruth Carr this year. He’d shown enough in a couple of starts to be of interest dropped to Class 6 for the first time and horses from this stable are usually worth following once they get their heads in front.”
Racing Post, 2017
“The softer ground was definitely a help as well as the drop in class. He is bit one-paced but they don’t go away from you in these conditions and he picked up well to go on and win it.”
James Sullivan, 2017
