WINNER! Flash City gets his head in front – 31st July 2014
Having recovered from a nasty accident in the stalls at Catterick early in the season, Flash has bounced back to form with a string of creditable placed efforts and finally got his head in front under Jimmy at Nottingham.
“A fair sprint handicap run at a sound pace. The action unfolded up the stands’ rail. FLASH CITY gained a deserved success under a well-timed ride. Due to be raised 4lb prior to this run, he could be noted travelling smoothly in midfield before quickening smartly inside the final furlong. He had been running well prior to gaining this first turf success at the 28th attempt and it would be no surprise to see him back this effort up.QUOTES: James Sullivan, rider of Flash City: He did it in the end. He has ability but he is not easy to win with. To be fair to him he has had a lot of racing of late and he got a bit lonely in front.”
