WINNER! Cupid’s Arrow at Redcar – 6th November 2018
With a trio of runners in the last race of the year at Redcar, all three aquitted themselves well (although Danish Duke rather showed himself up at the start and was short of room after breaking slightly slowly), with Cupid running out an easy winner and Tadanny in 4th. Cupid jumped well from the stalls under Jamie Gormley, the pair headed across to the far rail where there was a big track bias, got an uncontested lead and won very easily.
“A highly competitive sprint handicap for the class, but the far-side bias really played a part. CUPID’S ARROW quickly got over to the favoured stands’ side rail and comfortably resumed winning ways. He was very much weighted to do so and it was deserved. The 4yo could be out under a penalty on the AW next week. Tadaany, unlucky in running here last week, was always well placed and showed his true colours once more.”
