WINNER! Be Perfect follows up with a second win at Beverley – 27th April 2017
With Jimmy on the side lines due to a riding misdemeanor earlier in the month it was Jack Garritty who stepped in to take over at Beverley. In what looked to be a hot little contest on paper, one of the joint 2nd favourites was unruly in the stalls and withdrawn and the other was also restless in the gates and didn’t run its race. We were unable to make the running due to the outsider going off like a scalded cat and setting a stop start gallop so Jack sat in second and when the leader fell in a heap picked up the peices to win by a length and three quarters.
“This fair little handicap proved a messy affair. BE PERFECT readily followed up his Catterick success. He was 4lb higher, but boasts a top RPR of 98 on turf. The 8yo got ideal sit through the race yet he’s clearly back in top form.”
