TWO WINNERS! From nine runners – 8th June 2015
Favourite Treat sprung a 33-1 surprise when winning at Thirsk under Jimmy for the Bottom Liners. Favourite has always had plenty of ability but has been very nervy and twice been a none runner due to playing up in the stalls. Credit must go to Jimmy who has been very patient with him and done lots of remedial stalls work on him at home.
“They went a sound pace for this fair handicap. FAVOURITE TREAT, who dropped out tamely over 7f here 12 days earlier, travelled smoothly into the race and kept on well when pressed inside the final furlong to win for the first time since September 2013. He is clearly not the most consistent but is down to a handy mark.”

“Favourite Treat has been very nervous and worked up before races but the more he races the calmer he is.”

Foxtrot Knight made the journey south to Windsor to win under top jockey Ryan Moore. After his stalls incident at York it was a relief to see him behave himself in the stalls making the long journey worthwhile. Again credit must be given to Jimmy who did the home work with Foxy and put him through his stalls test at Ripon.
“This involved some progressive sprinters and was dominated by those handily ridden. FOXTROT KNIGHT won convincingly and justified some strong market support. The subject of an eyecatching jockey booking, he was always well placed and never looked like being caught when sent for home. A winner of three of his last four races, he’s excelled since joining Ruth Carr and looks capable of even greater improvement.”
