TWO WINNERS! A friday night double – 9th March 2018
Adventureman was our first winner of 2018 on his first run since October 2017 from a career low handicap mark. Jack Garitty stood in for an injured Jimmy and got the fractions just right from the front to hold off the favourite by half a length.
“The first division of a modest handicap. They went an, at best, respectable gallop and the first four placings never really altered from the outset. ADVENTUREMAN was returning from a five-month break since reportedly hanging left-handed in the home straight when sixth over 2f further on Chelmsford’s Polytrack in October. He gamely made all here off his own tempo centrally, finding enough from about 2f out to edge a sustained battle with the runner-up despite drifting left in the closing stages.”

Our friday night got even better when Fuel Injection also won from the front under Barry McHugh.
“A modest sprint handicap. The winner edged out the favourite in the best comparative time on the night. FUEL INJECTION provided a winning spare ride for his jockey Barry McHugh on his second stable start. The previous triple 5f winner broke well and gamely fended off a confirmed course-specialist in the runner-up.”
