UPDATE. Ruth rides again – 19th February 2016
I’ve been choked up by the amount of generous donations given to me for this amazing charity. The team at Macmillan Cancer Support do a wonderful job of being there for people affected by cancer. Every pound donated goes towards making the situation of cancer suffers just a little more bearable.
As I type my total is £3252.90; an amazing amount considering we’ve yet to hold our first function. We have the fahsion show coming up first followed by kids cake bakes, a quiz, horses events, and a live music with hog roast evening. We’ve also collection boxes in local businesses.
We have an online auction coming up for which we’ve had some fabulous prizes given from power washers to days at the races, pet portraits to days fishing, equine goodies to freezer ready pork. There really will be something for everyone so keep you’re eyes peeled for more details in the coming days.
There will also be an exclusive chance to visit us here at Mowbray, meet Ruth and the team and see the horses – an experience normally reserved for owners of horses in the yard. This will be followed by lunch and the afternoon at Ripon races. Again more details to follow so keep logging on to the website as this event will be restricted to 35 guests.
Training is going well. Most mornings I’m riding out 4 lots at home with extra lots of fast work away from home and at Southwell racecourse. I think I’m in good fettle physically until I go to Jack Berry House and ride the equiser with Tom O’Ryan instructing me!
