TWO WINNERS! A double at Catterick - 8th April 2015

A great day for Jimmy and the team at Catterick when we scored our first winner on the turf this year and quickly followed with another.

Meshardal went one better than his runner up position at Southwell after a break earlier in the month.

Meshardal Catterick April 2015"The opening contest was a fair sprint handicap. They went a decent gallop on ground officially described as good to soft, good in places. MESHARDAL held a fitness advantage over this field. He finished second over this 6f trip on Fibresand at Southwell a fortnight beforehand, and was the paddock pick. He went forward from a tricky draw, and grabbed a handy position in about fourth, before narrowly registering a first turf success after a prolonged scrap with the runner-up from the 2f pole."

Meshardal Catterick April 2015"Meshardal had a niggling problem last year after he´d been running well so we left him alone and it seems to have been the right thing to do as he´s come back in good form. He doesn´t do much in front."

Foxtrot Knight having his second start for us won a shade cosily in the following 3yo only 5f handicap.

Foxtrot Knight Catterick April 2015Foxtrot Knight Catterick April 2015"A moderate 3yo sprint handicap. They went a proper gallop.  FOXTROT KNIGHT was far from disgraced in fifth on his reappearance on Fibresand at Southwell the previous month, and broke his maiden status here in ready fashion back on turf on his eighth start, completing a quickfire double for his yard. He should continue to progress at a modest level."
