National Racehorse Week at Mowbray – 12th September 2021
A fantastic morning for our National Racehorse Week Open Morning – the first time we have opened our doors to the general public. We ran 3 time slots with personal guided tours around our horses enjoying their day off in the fields. Viewing from the safety of the back of our trailer in the mild and dry weather was perfect and I was delighted to be able to showcase the five star lifestyle our horses lead here at Mowbray. Hot drinks and BBQ sarnies on return to the yard for each group of visitors!
A massive thank you to all the team without whom these things do not happen! Husband Roger for his tractor driving skills. The gang on the yard; Emily, Tom and Julie. Chrissie for all the organising which happens piror to the day and the baking! Juniors Eleanor and Isla for making cups of tea! Brother Richard our farrier on hand to talk about horses feet. Grandma for buttering breadbuns and talking to everyone about horses from Mowbray past and present.Dad for his BBQ skills and Mum for capturing all the action on camera. A video is to follow so watch this space!
