Impulsive Force was sent to us for a change of scenery having not enjoyed his work at his previous yard. He is unraced so still has a lot to learn but a morning out at Mum and Dad’s stubble fields led by my new hunter, Troy, was just the job for this handsome grey lad.

Having ridden Impulsive Force, Emily got the leg up on Gladys one of Dad’s teamchasers and I thought I was riding the other, Tyson, as about a month ago Dad lost most of his left thumb when falling from one of his horses. By the time I’d given Troy a pop over Dad’s schooling fences and got back to the yard Dad was already mounted and claiming tacking up was more difficult than riding!
