Chrissie makes final 3 – 22nd February 2021
Both Emily and Chrissie made it to the short-listed ten in their categories of the Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Award with Chrissie progressing to the final three.
The final interviews took place on Monday morning with the winners being announced that evening.
The coronavirus pandemic may have deprived the finalists of a glitzy awards ceremony in London but the BHA, Racing Post, RTV and Godolphin did a fantastic job of putting on a virtual ceremony with the overall winner being named as local Rebecca ‘Beck’ Edmunds of Bryan Smart Racing.
With £128,500 in prize money available, the Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff awards recognise and celebrate the remarkable dedication, hard work and passion of the people who provide the best possible care to our horses and people. Sadly Chrissie didn’t win her Newcomer Category but came away with £1,000, with another £1,000 awarded to the rest of the team on the yard.
A celebratory event is being planned for the summer to honour the evening’s winners and nominees and will take place subject to Government guidance.
